It all started with an opened book...
Welcome to Bocealdor, where characters from the fictional worlds of books, movies, and your own imagination come to life.
Bocealdor is now a diverse realm of its own, with castles, spaceships, whatever you can dream of. It has portals to every other realm, as long as their is a representive in Bocealdor.
We wish we could say that the land is at complete peace, but that is not the case. With such a varied population, there is bound to be conflict...as villages unite and armies form, every single action can impact the future.

Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:
Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd. Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel. Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd. Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.

What's going on... ?
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?
The board is set, the pieces are in play. Whose side will you join?

To whom this may concern:
They have all been secretly living among us. Looking like everyone else, they are anything but uncommon. Possibly your best friend, boyfriend or girlfriend, or even your dog. Their minds are one of brilliance and their faces are exceptionally beautiful. Flawless. The only purpose in their life, the only goal of their entire existence, their only chance at survival is keeping the secret. Their lifespan is eternal, unless they can control themselves and they can choose if they want the changing to stop. Mortal or Immortal? As they learn the power of discipline, they have a better chance. Though this takes some time. The wolves and humans are oblivious of their interlacing lives. However the secret is hard to keep to yourself, you cannot control it until you gain the experience. What happens if someone slips? If their control breaks loose? What if ... the code is broken? Now it is time for our story to unfold, another storm for us to break through. I wish you luck, my friend.
But now new creatures have been spotted, and not only one type, many versions of another unknown species. They are said to have teeth as sharp as a knife, penetrating the necks of their victims. There are very few, but they are known. And another species has the record of appearing somewhat like a dragon, but in human form. One has told me that they have phantom wings, and phantom claws coming from their human bodies ... the world is full of surprises. Surprises that could either give you the thrill of a lifetime, or bring you to an early deathbed. Be careful where you take your breaths, they could be listening ...
Rating: PG-13. Genre: Sci-fi & Fantasy Mainly. Though we keep the appearances realistic for the most part, depending upon the species. Who can join? Anyone, from newcomers to extremely experienced. There’s a wide range amongst the site, and we all get along greatly. Species Allowed: Werewolves, Wolves, Humans, Vampires, Dragonkin, most Otherkin and any mixtures. In need of: Graphics Moderator(s) Moderator(s)

Laurel bows her head. "She was everything to me. My true confident, and the one person who I could completely relate to. She was there, when my husband, as much as I loved him, couldn't be. But then she was gone."

(Lol, okay ^^)
He cupped his hands and raised his hands, letting the water splash all over him, he closes his eyes, lips parting slightly, it had been a long while since he touched water to wash himself, the cold did good on his hot skin, he felt like he was in flames, his skin itching, only lessened at the cold.
He nods his head at her question "Yes...I don't know why but it always managed to awe me..." He tilts his head so that he could look at her "What about you, miss?" He asks, his eyes reflexting curiousity

{OOC//The title isn't very relevent, is it? Yeah, well it sounds cool, at least.}
The tavern door was opened by a cloaked figure. For one moment, pale winter light illuminated the dark interior of the room before the door was closed again. It didn't take long for his eyes, hidden though they were under his hood, to adjust to the change in lighting. He stood at the door for a few minutes, surveying the various people drinking, laughing, and talking. Shaking the snow off his boots, the tall figure made his way over to a sparsely populated table and sat down to study the wood grain.

Meyta « Result #7 on Oct 11, 2008, 5:37pm »
Full Name: Meyta Wijou
Nicknames/Aliases: Mey (The nickname her friends used to give her.) Darth Kabra (Sith name)
Race: Human
Homerealm: Coruscant (Star Wars)
Dwelling Place: Bokstad
Group: The Council
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Birthmonth: August
Physical Description: She is short and everything about her is petite, but she still seems to have a commanding prescence. She has pale skin, with her arms and legs dotted with freckles. Her almond-shaped eyes are a warm golden-brown color. Her auburn hair is shoulder-length and wavy. She would actually be rather attractive, if she didn't look so cold and tired all the time.
Personality: She puts on a rather convincing act of being kind and benevolent, but she is actually very cunning and manipulative. She obviously keeps her Sith identity a secret. She likes to have things done her way, and that is the main reason why she joined the Council.
Family: Unknown
History: Nobody knows much, as she won't talk about it. She was born on Coruscant, raised as a Jedi, but left as a young adult. It wasn't long before she turned to the dark side and was trained as Darth Cidic's apprentice. (Of course, nobody in Bocealdor knows that.)
She stumbled into Bocealdor a few years ago, and decided that she liked it better here. She ran for a position in the Council and was elected.
Other: She has a crimson-bladed lightsaber, but she doesn't carry it around much, as she prefers to just use the Force.
I don't have her history completely figured out, but I'm working on it.
I think it would be an interesting sub-plot to have Darth Cidic stumble into Bocealdor. He, of course, has no idea where his apprentice ended up, so hey may have a new one...
Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who's interested.

{OOC//Why can't he have socks? This is Bocealdor. It's not as medievel as it looks...xD I mean, talking lions!}
Furaha watched him silently, then padded back to the waters edge. She tentatively dipped a paw into the water, then quickly jerked it out and shook it dry. She blinked at Kain, wondering how he could tolerate it.
"Have you ever seen snow?" She asked, determined to keep the conversation alive.

He nods his head briefly "Yes... Indeed.." Oh, he had seen it long before, but every time it managed to strike a cord within him, he closes his eyes and breathes the air in deeply, before opening them, their depths flashing for a moment as he tilts his head "Kain.." He answers softly.
Turning and walks farther from her as he pushes his cloak out, revealing rather worn clothes that where once well cared for and clearly for someone of nobility, he looks at them almost sadly and then unbuttons his shirt, pulling that out too, his boots followed along with a pair of socks (I doubt if they have any here, but anyway, he still has socks or something like it XP) He straightens and walks to the lake, he looks back for a moment and then walks into the shallow but cold water, barely shivering.

The lioness turned her head to gaze out across the lake. "Yes, it is. Very strange, too...I've never seen snow up close." She sits down again, laying her tail across her forepaws. "My name's Furaha. How about you?"
